Our Work
Education
We understand Education to be the key for personal growth and a successful life. In our YMCA Public Schools in Ranchi and our rural centre at Maranghada we provide affordable English-Medium Co-Education to hundreds of children each year, empowering them with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive. At our 6 Preschools in the urban slums we prepare the young kids for their formal education.
Vocational Training
We provide knowledge and skills that enable generation of income and securing livelihoods through the various Skill Training Courses offered in our branches. Among the courses offered are trainings in Embroidery & Tailoring, Computer, Typing, Stenography and more.
Community Development
Our work in the urban slums of the city under the Urban Community Development Program aims at providing equal chances for the underprivileged sections of society and enable them to live a life in dignity and self-determination. Be it in the fields of Education, Youth Work, Health Work, Livelihood or Women Empowerment - our work impacts communities and thousands of individuals. Through these activities we make a contribution to Peace and Harmony in the society.

He loves the fellowship of friends there and learnt to have food together. At home also he sits as he does in school while having food. Our Team of YMCA Executives
Meet the Board of Directors
As a registered society, YMCA Ranchi is governed by its Board of Directors. There are 17 members representing a wide section of the society. 12 regular Board Members are elected for a period of 3 years from among the Members. Additionally 4 members from non-Christian religions are coopted into the board every year and the Bishop of Chotanagpur Diocese of CNI is a permanent invitee. Every year, one third of the Board Members are elected.
