The YMCA Vocational Training cum Programme Centre was started in the year 1995. It provides various Vocational Trainings like Computer, Typewriting, and Sports and Games, Programmes. An English Medium School (YMCA Public School) was started in year 2001.

YMCA Public School was started in the year 2001 at our Dhurwa Branch. Thus, it has
completed 24 years of its existence. The strength of students has reached up to 412.

Facilities For The Students

  • Library with more than 3000 books.

  • Sick room with nurse.

​​

  • Computer Lab with 16 Computers and qualified faculty.

​​

  • Practical Laboratory for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics.

​​

  • We do have Digital Class Rooms.

​​

  • All the subjects in every class are taught through DG Classes.

​​

  • For Physical fitness of the students Karate and Yoga training are conducted under the supervision of experts.

​

  • Huge Playing Field for outdoor games.

​​

  • Small Playing Court yard for Toddlers equipped with Swings, Sea-Saw, Slides, Mary Go Round, and Jigsaw Bars.

Activities & Programmes

Vocational Training cum Programmes

We are conducting various Non-Formal Trainings in our Vocational Training Section for the Student
Members. These Trainings are provided in very minimal fees, so that youth from lower economic
background can also afford to do all these training programmes. These skills development training
prepares the youth for better job opportunities and self respect in the society.
Given Below are the detailed activities in various sections during the year 2023-24.

  • Karate: In collaboration with Indian School of Martial Arts (ISMA) we conduct karate training to young people on prospective to teach them self defense and to make them physically fit.

  • Typing Section: We conduct Hindi and English Typing Course for one year.

Total enrolment of students was 18.

​

  • Computer Section: We provide 6 months' Certificate course in Diploma in Computer

Application (DCA), 6 months' Certificate course in Desktop Publishing (DTP), 2 months'
Certificate course in Office Management and short term course in Tally in our Computer section
and we enrolled 10 Students.
